Prosecutor Announces Charges in Church Video Voyeurism Case

JONESBORO, AR, October 22, 2015 – Scott Ellington, Prosecuting Attorney for the Second Judicial District of Arkansas, announced today that his office is filing charges of video voyeurism and distributing/possessing/viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child against Anthony Waller, 39 of Jonesboro. Waller was employed by the First Assembly of God Church in Jonesboro at the time of his arrest. The charges will include a separate count for each incident of video voyeurism. Additional charges may be filed as evidence analysis continues, Ellington said, adding that his Office will continue to monitor the case and work with police investigators to identify any other criminal violations.

Ellington said, “I appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Jonesboro Police Department and in particular Detectives Brandon King, Earnest Ward, Gary Shackleford and Michael McCanless in collecting and analyzing the digital evidence that forms the basis of this case.” Ellington added that the First Assembly of God Church has fully cooperated with the investigation, and that his Office will continue to make itself available to the church and to the victims for any assistance needed.
