Scott Ellington is the District Prosecuting Attorney for the Second Judicial District of Arkansas, including Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Greene, Mississippi and Poinsett Counties.

Scott is a native of Brookland in Craighead County, and currently lives in Jonesboro with his wife, who is an elementary school teacher.  They have three adult children and one grandson.

A member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, he has served on several church committees, and mission projects. He is a member of the Craighead County Bar Association, the Arkansas Bar Association, and the Arkansas Prosecuting Attorneys Association.

Scott was elected as Prosecuting Attorney for the Second Judicial District of Arkansas in 2010 and re-elected to a second term in 2014.  His first term began on January 1, 2011.  Prior to his election as Prosecuting Attorney, Scott served as a Deputy Prosecutor, beginning in 2007.  Before joining the prosecutor’s office, Scott worked in private practice for 15 years, handling a wide variety of litigation.
